I got accepted into graphic design school!

Taken by: Me
Location: school

Hello people of the internet!
So i recently got accepted into graphic design school. Which is totally amazing and surreal. I am so incredibly happy.
We start on January 17th,2013. I can't even belive how much luck i have had this month of December. I can not even wait to learn more and get better at designing and at the different programs that we will be using.
I tried to stay possitive after the interview but i couldn't stop thinking about what i would do if i did not get accepted. Definitely a big confident booster that i got accepted, which i need!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Until next time... Have fun!

graphic design interview

Hello people of the internet

It's been some hectic few weeks for me. I have been making my Portfolio,
like i said in my last blog post.
All of my hard work paid off, because i got invited to an interview yesterday
in the graphic design school i'm trying to get in. That was like the 2nd round
of this little experience of me trying to get accepted into the school.

All  i can do now is wait, for 2 weeks to be exact.
It's really nerve wracking, because i truly want to get into this school and
learn more about these incredible programs like Illustrator & Photoshop.

Let me tell you about yesterday. So like i said i was at a interview. There were
2 teachers there, one female, one male. We sat across this long table, with me
in the middle, which made it even scarier. All eyes where at me, all four eyes...

They started asking me different types of questions like, what kind of person i
am, how i function in school and more. As they where asking i was thinking
so hard to get to the PERFECT answer. But all i could do was to do my best.
I tried to smile as much as possible, and look into their eyes ( which i have
a hard time doing).

But thankfully i did it, and it only lasted for 20 minutes. And i am suprised to
say, that it was not as terrifying as i thought it would be. I mean, i survived
didn't i?

So if you have an interview coming up, be it at a school or job interview. Remember
to relax and just think "i can do this,i can do this". And practise, practise!
GOOD LUCK !

=)

Until next time...Have fun!

The Ornaments

The text iheartart172012 and the mistletoe were added in picmonkey.com

Hello people of the internet!

Long time no blog...
The reason for that is because i have been busy making my very first
portfolio. I and some of my fellow classmates have decided to transfer to graphic
design ( if we are lucky enough to get in ).
We have until this Friday ( Nov.30 ) to finish.

I tried to design my portfolio book as crreative as possible.
My portfolio map, is pink, of course. And inside i have black papers with my
drawing/pictures glued on top.

The picture above is a web design i am working on for my current school project.
I am making a webshop for Christmas ornaments. =) My site is called "The
Ornaments". My logo as you can (almost) se on top, is a red x-mas ball, with
the text "The Ornaments.com"

Until next time...Have fun!

Hello People of the internet!
It has been a rough week...  Our project was about carpets...
We had to make a web site consisting of 4 pages, an index page, history, gallery and contact page for this carpet company. And we had to do it in 1 week. Coding and designing.
Well....as easy as it sounds, my group did not finish in time.
Everything was fine until we had to start coding. I made the design layout of the
site in Photoshop, and a logo in illustrator.
This is the logo

Even though we did not finish the project, i am still happy with the design of
the site and the logo. And i did try my best!

Next week we have so much to do. We have a meating about how to make a portfolio,
a first aid class, and probably a new project.
I hope we all survive...
=/

But even though it's been a bit hectic, i love that we always make creative things. But dreamweaver
shoud die.

Until next time...Have fun!

Coding 24/7

Taken by: Me
Edited in Befunky.com
location: The botanical garden,Copenhagen,Denmark

Hello people of the internet!

So… It’s a new week, which means I got a new project to complete!
This time our project is only for 1 week (due date is on this Friday).
Guess what the project is about *drum roll* CODING!
*scared*

I am not that good at Dreamweaver, which is a program we use to
code websites.
I am more of a Photoshop/illustrator type of girl. Dreamweaver is just
too black and white for me.
I NEED art, I can’t handle numbers and things like <p>, Div, and
<span>…
But of course I am going to do my best and try not to fail miserably.

We have to code a web site that has already been designed and we have to
make the exact design and use the same fonts.
Almost everyone in the class I think got a bit confused ( me included ).
Because there were tons of mistakes in the design and sizes…
Poor us.. =/

Well… Nothing is perfect.
I  just hope I will be able to finish in time, since I only have 3 more days left. Plus
I was sick yesterday so I’m a bit behind.

Until next time...Have fun!!!

Hello people of the internet!

I finally finished my maze game project yesterday.

But I only made 2 mazes because of the lack of time. Level 1

is the romantic maze with the character Love, and level 2

is the hate maze with the character Angry.

I did finish making the characters though, which you can see

bellow.

Until next time…Have fun!

New project! Maze game and IT grades

The heart maze for Love

Hello people of the internet!

New week equals to a new project! Our project for this week

and next week is to make a game or animation.

I choose to focus on graphic design, which is why I made

a maze instead of an action type game.

My game is about these characters called “The feelings”.

They all have to complete once level each to find each other.

1 maze equals to 1 level.

Love which is one of the characters has a heart maze,

When she completes her maze she will find Angry who

has to complete his maze.

I have only made one maze so far, since it takes a lot

of time to make one.

We also have to make a trailer for our game, in FLASH.

I really like Flash, even though it’s such a hard program.

Good thing I have lots of practice on making short movies at

home.

We also got our IT grades, I got a 7, which equals to a B in

America. I guess that’s a good grade, but I really hoped for

an A+.

Next week I am going to focus on making my trailer, and

if I have extra time I will be making the mazes for the other

Feelings too.

Happy early Halloween!

Almost Halloween!

Hello people of the internet

So it is almost Halloween!

I am so excited, because I just love it when it is Halloween time.
There is so many activities like pumpkin carving, trick or treating and
watching creepy movies!
My favorite Halloween movie is definetly Hocus Pocus.
That movie is so adorable and funny.
I remember watching that film back in 4th grade in school, memories....
Sadly Denmark does not celebrate Halloween like America. In USA Halloween

seems like so much fun. There is Halloween parties, and old and young go Trick or treating. Here in Denmark, for the most part the younger kids are the only ones who go trick or treating.
I like to celebrate Halloween by watching Hocus Pocuslike I do every year,

carve pumpkins and cook yummy food.

 Happy early Halloween everyone!

 Until next timeHave fun!

p.s. I edited the picture of my carved pumpkin called Jack on www.Befunky.com

Logo design & Autumn break

Hello people of the internet!

Yay! It’s autumn break!

I am so excited to just relax at home.

I finished making my website about Xtreme Bodies and

the logo for the site (which you can see above)

i used the colors pink and blue, because I wanted

it to be a logo both female and male can relate to.

Plus blue and pink are my favorite colors in the

whole wide world.

What I love about studying in a media production school

is that almost everything we do is related to either

web sites, designing or film.

We also watch films a lot, usually cartoons. So far

we have watch “The Lorax” and “Madagascar 3”.

“The Lorax” is such an adorable movie and also very

funny. I loved the quote in the end too.

“ Unless someone like you

Cares awful a lot,

Nothing is going to get better.

It’s Not. – Dr. Suess”

The quote is so true too.

While watching the film I was thinking about how

some people just throw trash on the streets instead

of just dumping it in the trash can. I don’t

get how people can care so little about our planet.

We live on it, so we should take care of it…

=)

Anyways school is still awesome! (never thought

I would ever say that in my life)

Bye!

Until next time… have fun!

New project!

Photo by: Me ( Botanical garden in Copenhagen,Denmark)

Hello people of the internet!

School has been/is extremely hectic, which is why

i haven’t been blogging. ( Sorry!)

Anways…

Our new project is about “The Body”.
And the 1st thing that popped into my head was "The body shop",hehe..
We have to make a website based on the title "The body".
I have chosen to make a site about Extreme bodies ( or as i
called it Xtreme bodies!).

My design and logo is done, but there is still tons of work left.
Next week i will start coding after my teachers approve
my designs...Ohh. god..
Coding is so not me. It's super hard for me since it's a lot about
numbers and weird names like "Div", float left and stuff... =/
But i will do my best!! =)

We learned about making contracts and how to use Exel...It's
a bit hard for me. I like designing things more than writing.

All in all this week has been stressful but also very fun!

Hope everyone is doing fine!

Until next time...Have fun!
